Now we're stuck with them. The Koffin Kats are the best thing to happen to American psychobilly since The Quakes, and the band's first full-length "Inhumane" is sheer genius.

Equal parts scorching punk and grooving rockabilly, "Inhumane" rocks in every way thanks largely to the insane range of singer Vic Victor's voice. I dare any punk rocker to sing along to these tunes and even try to match this guys range. He croons like a bastard child of Glenn Danzig and Dave Vanian.

After the token psychobilly intro tune, The Koffin Kats stray from their traditional sound, destroying everything around them with break-neck speed punk reminiscent of Mad Sin or Demented Are Go. From there its just swinging madness of corpses, demons, zombies and things that cannot be explained.

The best track on the record is the sequel to "Graveyard Tree" from the band's first e.p. "Graveyard Tree II" is a bass-thumping rocker that starts off slow and just builds to this insane climax with a searing guitar solo that begs to go on forever.

This CD is a must for any fan of punk rock. This is not the same old psychobilly formula, nor is this some metal band from Germany passing itself off as rockabilly. This is perfect rock 'n' roll in every way.

http://rapidshare.com/files/25885797/Koffin_kats.rar

The Meteors Hymns For The Hellbound

If ever there was a title that suited the album it served In all my lifetimes I’ve never seen or heard of better one its perfect, The M3T3ORS !!!!!

What in your gods name can I say that hasn’t already been said about my favorite band?

Indeed after almost three decades and well over 30 albums not including their numerous side projects film scores (often done incognito and many of them hi budget movies) compilations, DVDs and over 45 singles 12” mixes etc it would be hard to find any body more accomplished at their chosen task then this “Trio Infernal”.

Just for a second let us examine some lesser known facts Guitarist and singer ……the Infamous guitarslinger and noted vocalist P Paul Fenech (and he has never revealed what the P stands for). He is a keen and accomplished fencer (the sword kind although they say he is pretty good with a hammer as well) and has many competition medals to prove this and was once the Wiltshire over 20s epée due combat title holder which at county level ain`t bad for geezer who rides motor bikes dabbles in chemistry and runs with a mmmh lets say club that are a world apart from most peoples circle of friends.

I could fill this thing with a myriad of strange and wonderful unknown facts but now I move on to the much more difficult task of a time bomb!!!!!

Wolfgang (the machine) Hördemann

About drummer Wolfgang: what is known is that he was the first meteors fan that the band met on their first trip to Germany at a time when Psychobilly was unheard of there. So I guess that makes him a first and that is something that many people should remember! Paul adds. Almost from the first day he started working for the band , first as a roadie and then driver (it is known that he was a gunner in the German mobile artillery) and a bricklayer coming from the coal mining area of Ruhrpott later he was Pauls guitar tech and constant drinking /brawling partner a thing that after longer then 20 years has never changed.

On a rare occasion and from a long distance in a dark room he had been moaned at for his power full but stripped down style (in the song we wanna wreck here, you will hear PPF singing “I GOT ME A DRUMMER WHO HITS SO HARD HE CAN KNOCK DOWN FUCKIN WALLS”) he replies to his critics (the ones that are still breathing) fuck them! Paul likes it like that !!!! Who wants to see some over playing part time rocker banging out a 40 minute cymbal symphony hitting every drum known to man and boring the shit out of the people we are a Psychobilly band the “Billy” bit is kick and snare (who would know more about it then the band that created it)… I leave the pretty stuff to the part timers who got time to impress other drummers… “We play for audience not for other musos. I drum every day for the KINGS”, Paul has said on many occasions the blokes a machine never drops a beat.

I can feel the compression in the back of my head 23, 24 songs in an hour and ten minutes every nite, having said that on all of his recordings you can hear that his style can be anything but simple if needed so bollox… And he has many other useful skills also he is a fuckin good shot! (there was no humor to the tone of that statement). So on that note ill move on!

So on to the bass player: Simon (the prince) Linden:

His nickname coming out of a conversation about if PPF is the king (not something he would say himself always flying the flag that the band who ever the members have been is the king) that would make him the crown prince, as wolf prefers the shadows more like the evil advisor, when we eventually stopped laughing the name stuck. As with gone but never to be forgotten previous bass player Mark Burnett.

The Prince (lol) is of the slap bass variety a thing that the meteors have re embraced over the last few years having stripped their sound down to the bare bones for live performance

The fact that this is his first album with The M3T3ORS and he swears it will be to the death and if you look into his eyes you know that’s as close to the truth as can be predicted means little to the band as they have already laid trax for the next one … “I am the bass player….. already on tour for over a year. I`am not the current one or the next one.. I`AM THE METEORS BASS PLAYER simple as that……” (in a way I expected the Prince to say “out of the way man I got slappin to do as he strode off looking completely at home in the band” they love to hate”) but he didn’t as a foot note 38 bass players (including ones that would freak out the bands there in If they knew their loyalty was so shaky ) were slapped in to obscurity by Simon at auditions as soon as he started I knew! PPF remarks its his manner and humour his playing and his born meteorness. I know my own kind and that blokes a monster just like all pure Psychobillys.

As on all The M3T3ORS Records with this one you get all you need to prove and underline the fact that although there are all the elements that define the pure Psychobilly sound The M3T3ORS have continuously mutated, stretched, re-moleculised and driven forward the ugly yet strangely honest genre that they alone are responsible for creating. It was recorded mixed and produced in the newly opened MAD DOG studios in Duisburg Germany, the 2nd of two full time pro-studios owned by the band: ”We don’t just let people do it for us we build the studios we write the songs we do every thing from mic placement to sound proofing so we get what we want in our studios we only do bands rocking punk etc… real music. We understand what its like to be in a band that’s not understood by the mainstream.

Adding to an already winning formula The M3T3ORS are more then happy to be working again with People Like U - Records adding hey so we don’t like 1 or 2 of our label mates but there are some great bands as well and the people that run this record company understand this fucking scene.

Leaving aside the actual word for a moment it’s an excepted and undisputable fact that the genre the world knows as “Psychobilly” was created and is continually championed through good days and bad by the Kings Of Psychobilly The M3T3ORS and though there have been many imitators good and bad, none can compare to the REAL THING.

And one of the reasons for this is because it’s not an outside view: ITS FUCKING REAL

Now that’s scary!!! On a final note, Here we have a saying “There are two kinds of people in the world those who like the Meteors, and……Dickheads. Come home soon boys, I`LL leave a light on for you…

SATAN (your biggest fan)

TRACKLISTING:

1. Four unknown aliens took over the planet with their debut alien platter UURRRRNCHK.

The cybernetic line up was Titch/Vox Doyley/Guitar Strangy/Bass Mocker/Drums.They toured planet earth spreading their alien sound from Europe to Japan. They recorded their second album Blurb and then changed their line up to Eddie on Bass. Strangy joined the Numbskulls, now named Karloff playing Rock n Roll Horror fronted by Strangy's brother Ash.

Continuing the planets conquest they recorded a further 4 albums and the odd track for compilation albums changing the line up again to Mick (Phantom Rockers) on Guitar. In 1998 the line became Looper playing sixties garage punk recording one E.P entitled The Mad are Sane.

Doyley and Strangy went on to form Celtic Bones, a three piece Punk 'n' Roll band with Skum on drums. They recorded Times up a four track E.P and Who Dares Gins an 11 track C.D.They continue to play at present.

In the year 2001 a Worm hole opened causing a rift in time meant the Klingonz could travel back to Earth again to cause more alien destruction. Also planned are gigs in Germany, New York and a one off show in London. Also a new 16 track C.D. "Up Uranus" with styles ranging from Punkabilly, Psychobilly.
http://rapidshare.com/files/25356666/Klingonz.rar

Scarecrows Are Raising Hell

<img style="display:block;

KING KURT

King Kurt were formed in 1981 by Jef Harvey (v), guitarists Paul Laventhol (called Thwack) and John Reddington, Bert Boustead (b), Rory Lyons (d) and school boy Maggot on a borrowed Sax. They were originally known as Rocking Kurt and the Sour Krauts (so named because they used to give away sauerkraut at the early gigs to the audience). Jef left the band in 1982 to go to Birmingham and Gary Cayton (called Smeg) was found in Brighton to take over lead vocals. The 6 piece combo hit the Psychobilly scene with their very special sound, humor and style who´s tunes would still be appreciated over two decades later.

Their first independent release was "Zulu Beat", backed by "Rockin Kurt". In 1983 their popularity had increased and they were signed to Stiff Records. Their debut album "Ooh Wallahwallah", was produced by Dave Edmunds and the first outtake "Destination Zulu Land" reached No 36 in the BBC charts. (They even appeared on "Top Of The Pops"!)

King Kurt toured extensively, they were also big in Europe, USA and Japan. Their gigs were real spectacular: on stage drinking games usually started off the night with many willing volunteers getting up to drink beer through a long tube, they threw buckets of coloured slime over the crowd and band members gave haircuts to the audience for 20p.
http://rapidshare.com/files/25354345/ooh_wallahwallah.rar

Gorilla To Much For Your Heart

Gorilla hail from Hungary, another example that the Eastern bands are coming on stronger. ‘Too Much For Your Heart’ features 13 (+ bonus track) excellent high speed neo&psycho tracks. The production standard is very high, maybe a little too slick for the hardcore purist’s out there but the the musicianship of Pete Gorilla (guitar&vocals), Tom Alien (slapbass) and Tubus (drums) make this cd a pleasure to listnen to. A mix between slower rockabilly-like songs and very fast psycho rockers, between the Stray Cats and the Krewmen with a dash of Nekromantix speed, between a little poppy and a little metal. ‘Ghost Train’, the instrumental ‘Psychotik Power’ and ‘Coma’ are good examples of this pedal-to-the-floor speed. ‘Child In My Dream’, ‘Hotel Fantom’ and ‘Too Much For Your Heart’ sound a little slower in comparison but are still quite fast. ‘Stag-beetle Invasion’ is a 13 second showoff for slapper Tom Alien and ‘Something’s Wrong With My Radio’ is Pete paying respect to one of his idols (Brian Setzer) by copying and expanding on his solo’s. It’s one of 2 covers, ‘Szóljon Hangosan Az Ének’ an old Hungarian folksong being the other. A good melodic and powerful album, if you like the early Krewmen releases, you’ll like this to.
http://rapidshare.com/files/25000225/Gorilla.rar

Ghoultown Give Em' More Rope

Formed in 1999 by vocalist/guitarist COUNT LYLE (Solitude Aeturnus, The Killcreeps), Ghoultown recorded its first 3-song EP in October of that same year. Titled BOOTS OF HELL, the EP illustrated the power of the band's Tex-Mex blend while garnering rabid reviews, a fanbase and independent radio airplay. With BOOTS OF HELL in circulation, the band's early buzz landed them several compilation appearances. The most notable being Skully Records' (NY) GOTHABILLY 2: ROCKIN' NECROPOLIS where they share the bill with some of the best psychobilly acts around the world. As a kick off, the band was invited to participate in the world-release show held at NY's infamous CBGB's on Halloween 2000.
In early 2001 Ghoultown released their full-length debut TALES FROM THE DEAD WEST. The album, produced by Kol Marshall (Mercyful Fate, etc.), captured the versatility and unique sound of the Texan quintet from the powerful "Killer in Texas" to the Doors-esque "Running From the Sun." "This album already has a place on my best of 2001 list," quoted a Harder Beat reviewer who reflected the positive response. Not only were ears turned, but eyes as well as the release pushed the band into new live show territory. With highlight performances such as an Atlanta benefit, which featured Jerry Only of the legendary Misfits as an onstage guest, Ghoultown has played with an amazing variety of bands such as Hank III, Rocket From the Crypt, The Independents, DRI, Bile, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Flametrick Subs, Dick Dale, Road Kings, Men of Porn, Captured By Robots, Fear, Cruxshadows, and The Misfits.
By 2002 Ghoultown invaded the film world when four of their tunes were chosen for the soundtrack of the horror-slasher, AMERICAN NIGHTMARE, starring b-movie queen Debbie Rochon (TROMEO & JULIET). As a testament to their memorable live show, the movie script was subsequently altered to include a Ghoultown performance cameo after the director witnessed the band live, and the video for their track "Killer In Texas" was included as a bonus on the DVD.
In the spring of 2002, not only did the band release their follow-up GIVE 'EM MORE ROPE, but Angry Planet Records signed an exclusive licensing deal with Netherlands-based Corazong Records to release the Ghoultown U.S. catalog in Europe and Canada. The first Euro-Canadian release was a special version of TALES FROM THE DEAD WEST, which included tracks from their BOOTS OF HELL EP as well.
By late summer, Ghoultown hit the road for a 35 date U.S. tour which included performances at NY's CBGBs to The Garage in L.A. The tour was concluded by a performance at one of the world's largest annual entertainment media conventions, Dragon*Con in Atlanta, where the band has performed for the last two years by popular demand.
Hitting 2003 Ghoultown's signature tune "Killer In Texas" made yet another appearance in a short film called HEADCHEESE which was released on DVD with a movie called FREAK. Appropriately, HEADCHEESE was filmed in the same location as TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE... house and all! Spending the first half of 2003 performing, the band toured the midwest and east coast, in addition to numerous Texas area shows. By the end of spring, Ghoultown completed work on songs for two upcoming Jon Keeyes films, SLICE OF LIFE and HALLOW'S END, the later in which they will also be making a cameo appearance. These are due on the market around Halloween.
In 2004 Ghoultown released a double disc set, LIVE FROM TEXAS!, which showcased their powerful live show on both CD and DVD. "Ghoultown puts the grit back into rock 'n' roll with a blazing hellfire vengeance!" said Horror Garage in praise of the release, which has garnered extremely positive feedback and become the best selling release to date. Also in 2004, the band managed to creep into the video game market where several of their actual gig posters can be seen in the award-winning VAMPIRE MASQUERADE: BLOODLINES PC game.
Currently the band is playing in support of their new studio CD entitled BURY THEM DEEP which was released in October 2006 on Zoviet.
http://rapidshare.com/files/24997056/Ghoultown.rar

Mad Sin A Ticket Into Underworld

MAD SIN is a German Psychobilly/punkabilly group that began in 1987. If you thoroughly look back on the story of MAD SIN it is surprising that the band still exists without having split-up, a collective suicide or at least regular internal fights. Founded 1987 by Köfte, who just dishonarably left school, Punk- and Rockabilly- guitarist Stein and four-week-bass-playing Holly, they struggled around with the help of some mates, who organized gigs in several shady bars of berlin. The daily booze was financed through gigs as street musicians in shopping-malls, where they played Rockabilly-, Country- and Blues-Songs to get the tourist's money.

Without any suspicions about the business MAD SIN signed their first record-contract 1988 with one of the dubious figures of Hamburgs underworld - the result was an album which became a classic in the Psychobilly scene. Despite of the problems MAD SIN was getting more and more attention. Their travelling brought them to Holland where they got in touch with the Indie-Label 'Count Orlock' which released their masterpiece 'God Save The Sin'. This record showed for the first time the typical mixture of Rockabilly, Punk Rock, classical Hardcore and a lot of Psychobilly, which became pretty fast the trademark of the quartet. What followed were gigs with Bands like Faith No More, Gwar, Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, Meteors and many more, and with their enthusiastic sound, Köftes outstanding stage madness and an explosive live-show that includes firespitters and similar attractions MAD SIN got fans of all kinds on their side. Because MAD SIN didn't want to live much longer on the level of social security they soon forgot all doubts when Polydor lured them with an unbelievable mass of cash. As soon as was possible they went to Hamburg to the collect money case and shortly after traveled to Malta to record an album. The result was 'Sweet and Innocent? ... Loud and Dirty!!!' which was released in August 1998, some airplay and many on open air festivals. MAD SIN and the Polydor label were not getting along very well. They thought the band was too excessive and not mainstream enough. To MAD SIN it seemed like a joke when they received another big case of cash from the label, just to leave again! But they still had loads of gigs to do and after 12 years they took the step of a second guitarrist.

No less than Tex Morton (ex-Sunny Domestosz, ex-Lolitas) and his 59 Gretsch guitar joined the band and brought the MAD SIN sound and their humor to a new level. After this crazy 3 years it was a bit quiet around MAD SIN but not in their private life. Köfte spent every penny for enjoyment and then wrote a hell load of songs to do his side project the DEAD KINGS, a punkabilly band with members of Batmobile, Nekromantix, Klingonz & Milwaukee Wildmen, which was pretty successful. Holly and Tex followed their Rockabilly roots and with the brother of Holly they founded DUSTY GRAY AND HIS ROUGH RIDING RAMBLERS, an authentic 50s style band with loads of balls. And old Stein? He also had a side project, the UNITED SWINDLERS (members of Frantic Flintstones and Ripmen), and yes - they rocked the house too. But now MAD SIN is back with the hellbilly rocker album SURVIVAL OF THE SICKEST on People Like You Records! They produced 16 killer tracks for the first time between autumn 2001 and spring 2002 in Berlin. The album will see the daylight on the 24th of june 2002. Tours in Europe, US, and Japan are being booked at the moment and fans alll over the world can't wait to get into the madness again and see them play live while they wreck their guts out to the psychotic hellbilly beat of the one and only MAD SIN!
http://rapidshare.com/files/24993100/A_Ticket_Into_Underworld.rar

Bang Bang Bazooka True Rebel

Bang Bang Bazooka is a quartet formed in January 1987.

Marcel played for 4 years in the rockabilly band "The Caveman". Boppin' through the rockabilly circuit. The Caveman made quite a reputation.

JF played in the French rockabillyband "Blue Cadillacs". Rocking for several years through the south of France.

Rene stopped playing in the illustrious famed punkband "Tubifex" in 1985.

Bart is the new-comer but certainly no layman. For years he's been trying to saw his bass in two pieces in a classical way.

Bang Bang Bazooka: rockabilly from the 80's. Influenced by some country & blues. Their songs are mainly their own compositions. In the spring of 1988 their first record was released on the Dutch label "Count Orlok Records". The record was well received, and they did many gigs through Europe. In june 1989 their party animal and loyal roadie Arno died after a tragical acciden. In 1990 the second records "True Rebel" was released, dedicated to Arno.

In 2004 the band started a reunion. The band members are men now, still friends, still into music. These occasions that they play are getting more and more frequent, and weren't possible if they didn't have the help of Karel Panjer, excellent bassplayer, filling in Bart's place whenever he's not playing bass in Peter Pan Speedrock!
http://rapidshare.com/files/24989583/Bang_Bang_Bazooka.rar

Guana Batz Rough Edges

The Guana Batz were part of a British wave of psychobilly that sprang up in the early ’80s, around the same time that bands like the Cramps were gaining underground prominence in America, and more straightforward rockabilly revivalists like the Stray Cats and the Polecats were hitting the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The group was formed in the English town of Feltham, in Middlesex, in 1983, with a lineup featuring vocalist Pip Hancox, guitarist Stuart Osbourne, bassist Mick White (also of the similar Meteors), and drummer Dave Turner; White, an electric bassist, was soon replaced by stand-up acoustic player Sam Sardi. Playing hopped-up rockabilly with the speed and aggression of punk rock, the Guana Batz fit nicely into the British psychobilly scene epitomized by the Meteors, the Stingrays, the Caravans, and other bands who played at the good-naturedly rough Klub Foot in London. As such, the Batz landed a deal relatively quickly, releasing their debut EP, You’re So Fine, on Big Beat Records by the end of 1983. An appearance on the Stompin’ at the Klub Foot compilation netted them a better deal with ABC/ID, which released their full-length debut, Held Down…At Last! (aka Held Down to Vinyl…At Last!), in 1985. A follow-up, Loan Sharks, appeared a year later, and proved an even bigger underground hit (at least in the U.K.) than its predecessor. Live in London (recorded at the Klub Foot) followed in 1987, and Rough Edges continued the group’s annual release schedule in 1988. Following that album, drummer Turner was replaced by Johnny Bowler, who debuted on 1990’s Electra Glide in Blue (recorded for new label World Service). While the band continued to tour the U.K. and Europe (with new bassist Mark Pennington), their initial recording career ended there, and they disbanded during the ’90s. Hancox and Bowler both moved to California, where they settled and started families. The Guana Batz reunited in late 1998, however, and recorded the all-covers album Undercover the following year. The compilation Can’t Take the Pressure was released in 2000, with a competing best-of, The Very Best of the Guana Batz, appearing in 2001 by Steve Huey.
http://rapidshare.com/files/24967940/Rough_Edges.rar

Guana Batz Electra Glide In Blue

Yet another release by the indefatigable British psychobilly combo the Guana Batz, Electra Glide in Blue proffers more of the rootsy same: singer Pip Hancox’s wild-eyed bray of a voice riding on top of Stuart Osbourne’s reverb-soaked lead guitar twang and Sam Sardi’s woody slap bass. Tongue-in-cheek songs like the meta “Spector Love” and the galloping “Take a Rocket” sound as fun and unpretentious as ever, and the band charges along throughout the brief, breathless album. Originally released in 1990 (and reissued by the Harry May label in 2005 as part of a comprehensive reissue campaign), Electra Glide in Blue proved to be the final album by the original lineup of the Guana Batz, but it was an admirable swan song by Stewart Mason.
http://rapidshare.com/files/24960633/Electra_Glide_in_Blue.rar

Elvis Hitler Disgraceland & Hellbilly

Elvis Hitler is a Michigan power-trio that plays wild and ferocious garage-rock. I called Rob Peltier who
saw Dave The Ace Hoy and myself playing at a party (we were the Quiffs.)
I told him my plan for world domination and we started playing. We needed
a drummer and we were reluctant to use Dave because he was about four
years younger than me and this was going to be a “serious” band.In the end,
we (thankfully) had him join us.

In the beginning we were playing modern rockabilly in the vein of our idols
the Stray-Rock and Pole- cats. We had huge quiffs and wore bright clothes
and make-up like our idols. The only problem was, we couldn’t play our
instruments very well and we didn’t come close to the sound we envisioned
in our heads. Undeterred, we went on but found it had to get gigs and be
noticed in our home of Buffalo,New York.

There was a big punk scene and we noticed that these kids liked our faster
stuff. We started getting harder and we ditched the pegs and bowling shirts for
combat boots and ripped jeans. Things started to happened for us locally.

We knew a little bit about the scene in Europe and sent demos to Nervous records. We got a negative but encouraging response. We decided we were
going to pull a “Stray cats” and sell all our stuff and move to London.

We arrived in the fall of 1987.We contacted Nervous records and as luck would
have it, Roy Williams told us that The Rattlers had canceled out of a psycho
fest in Belgium and we could have the spot. We were blown away by the scene.
There was about 4000 psychos from all over Europe in Weize, Belgium and that
was our first European gig. We were out of tune and we had arrived late but it seemed to go down good.
http://rapidshare.com/files/24690909/Quakes.rar

P.O.X. They released their first album “Kissed by a Werewolf” on Tombstone Records, which became the best selling LP on the label in 1989. In 1991 they released "Demon Lover" (Tombstone Records) which sold over 50,000 units in Europe and established the Phantom Rockers as one of the top psychobilly bands in the world. Their next album "Born to Be Wild" (Tombstone Records) was met with critical acclaim and went on to hold a Top Ten position on the European charts. Support for their fourth album "Search and Destroy" (Tombstone Records) included a major North American tour in 1993 making them the first band, along with the Meteors, to bring psychobilly to the U.S. After two more albums, several lineup changes and many years of extensive American touring, the European lineup split up and went back to the U.K. in 1998. Mark, however, decided to stay in the U.S. He eventually wound up in Dallas where he met ex-Exploited guitar player Karl Morris, who also found his way to Texas via the U.K. The two reformed the Phantom Rockers and created a U.S. lineup. Two albums and many tours later, Karl decided the U.S. was not for him and he returned home to the U.K.

The Phantom Rockers, now based in Texas, are Mark Burke on lead vocals and upright bass, Scotty Tecce on drums (Kim Lenz, The Fabulous Harmonaires), Nick Warneke on lead guitar (Sawed Off Sick, The Atomic Fiends) and Vinny Badblood on rhythm guitar (The Livends). Known for their post-show antics and after-partys, the self-proclaimed “shagmasters” have released 9 albums over the years and have shared the stage with many influential bands such as The Guana Batz, The Meteors, Anti-Nowhere League, and Rev. Horton Heat. Album number ten has just been released on SOS Records and is a 2-disc compilation of the bands entire career with some new songs added as well. Support for the new album will include the British Are Coming Tour with the Exploited in March 2007 as well as a Japanese and Korean tour in June. Be sure to keep an eye out for The Phantoms as they pass through your town!
http://rapidshare.com/files/24684348/Phantom_Rockers.rar

The Long Tall Texans 5 Bean And A Wheel

Roy Williams of Nervous Records remembers well when our heroes were trying to get signed, in typical fuzzy rockabilly folklore style the details are just that, fuzzy, but he does recall a piss-up of monumental proportions at a gig downstairs at the Clarendon organised by a woman unknown who promised free booze for interested parties. A phone call to Ray Frensham of Northwood records later and the deadly duo were off ‘to have a laugh and milk the free booze for all they were worth’. Mission accomplished Roy does not remember getting home. He does remember with glee correcting the spelling on schoolteacher Mark Ds letter to him, the wise old sage!

Not long after and all things were rockin along quite nicely in the Texans camp with their growing legion of fans treated to the release of Sodbusters, a cracker of an album, hard to pigeon hole not psychobilly with not a hint of a graveyard, Zombie or Vampire not rockabilly, but a slap bass driven party album with what would become their trademark mix of all sorts of styles. A few other tracks appeared on Raucous and Nervous compilations to keep the Rockin underground hungry for more. Anyway it’s getting a bit serious again.

Hard touring with the fan base building and the Album selling soon followed hot on the heels by new releases Los Me Boleros which included all time Texans favourite ‘Indians’ and live blaster Five Beans In the Wheel. Saturnalia was released on Picture disc to wide acclaim and included classic Texans tunes Bloody, Cairo and No Tomorrow. One of the Texans great talents was to cover songs and make them totally their own, the other was to sing songs with pretty miserable lyrics like Bloody and make them sound happy and make you jump about even though the song was basically about getting dumped by your bird and you knew it.

Such was their live reputation the Long Tall ones soon found themselves on the end of the Jettisounds lenses where their show at the Night Of The Long Knives was captured in all it’s beer swilled glory and titled ‘Blood Sweat and Beers’ for all that couldn’t make it or weren’t born yet could see what they missed.

In the meantime the Texans had been embraced by the Psychobilly masses of Europe regularly trundling off with their van car or any other mode of transport they could get their hands on to play gigs the length and breadth of the continent to a fanatical following.

Singing To The Moon was another landmark direction for the Texans, a sharp move towards or rather away from what people expected, the Psychos listened, blinked, listened again and loved it. The title track a cool as cucumber echo laden reggae inspired sing along together with a dub version that sat just as well with the jazzy ‘Klub Foot Shuffle’ and the real life tragedy based rocker ‘Suicide at the Seaside’ Things looked as if they could be going even further for the Texans when Mark Denman ‘Boggles’ left the band, at least in a live performance role. It seemed for a while as if the wheels had come off of the bandwagon just when it was gaining speed. The band played at the Rumble that year with Gus (?) who was later replaced by Cellmate Leicester Kev, Steve(?) and then Doug Shepard formerly of the Rattlers.

With all the line-up changes that were going on with Mark and Theo trying to replace a mate that had been with them since day one you could have quite understood that things would have gone pear shaped and that the heyday of the Long Tall Texans was over. Guess again, they had yet more surprises up their sleeve. One gig I was at the curtains went back and the cry went up, ‘Who the fuck is the hippy?!’ Standing stage right with hair down to his arse and black trousers skin tight on legs that made Carew look stocky stood new Sax man Paul Mumford. The Texans with a sax? Though there had been guest instruments on recorded stuff but full time in the line-up playing old Texans favourites? It would never work, but it did.

Aces and Eights followed, Sax to the fore and once again a mix of styles and even a fender bass on what turned out to be one of the favourite tracks on the Album ‘lip Service’. The sax reworking of big time favourite ‘Bloody’ was an unthinkable improvement, with even a Levellers style track with Innocent Look and a guest guitarist laying down a bit of metal on the closing track. This album launched the band into the stratosphere, well a tour of Japan. That was the furthest they went on tour but the ones closer to home produced some cracking stories. Ready?

After too much booze as Theo remembers a free for all but good-natured scrap on the car deck of a cross channel ferry with The Klingonz (from Mars so what they were doing on the ferry god only knows). Other sources remembered that the police were waiting with good descriptions of the culprits, Klingonz are let’s say hard to miss and were apprehended while the more soberly haircutted Texans slipped through the net.

Another story was when the Texans had agreed to give a mate of Chuck Flintstone a lift home from Germany at some hardship to themselves, all the band plus hitchhiker were squeezed in a Ford Capri with Drums on laps and Double Bass on the roof. All was going well until the French/Belgian border where some over keen Customs officials on the French side decide to stop the intrepid carload. Almost as they opened the boot the assorted merchandise started to fall about. On noticing the rather nifty Geo Parkin designed Ts the customs guy made it known to Carew he would like one, faced with the prospect of having to load the car again after a full scale search he willing agreed, and handed over a shirt, only to be told ‘Non’ as the customs fella gestured to his three amigos who had appeared as if by magic at the roadside. They all got one, the last view from the Capri’s wing mirror was the four well chuffed Frenchmen holding up their new Long Tall Texans Ts for size.

The other thing the Texans and Carew especially are renowned for is the ability to sleep anywhere. At one gig in Devon they were playing a birthday party where the accommodation was the promoters two bedroom flat. Support was The Gazmen and a local two-piece with a t-chest bass and mullets, with even more mullet biker hangers on. At the after gig party invaded by the mullets and bikers who juggled their cider bottles for kix Carew was happily curled up on the kitchen floor along with Theo who had found some curtains to sleep in, trademark smiles on faces, oblivious.

And that just about sums up the story so far for the Texans, as at home playing to 2000 people at a festival as in a beer soaked boozer in the middle of nowhere as long as it is fun and with them it always is. The sight of Mark Carew slapping that Bass with a smile as big as Brighton on his face is one that anyone lucky enough to witness will cherish for a very long time. And if you haven’t there’s still time, though less prolific, the Texans, minus the sax who left a few years back, still make appearances around the country and Europe and are currently working on new material. So as a famous man once allegedly said….. Something’s (still) Cookin’
http://rapidshare.com/files/24389294/Long_Tall_Texans.rar

Calavera Day Of The Dead

CEJAS the lead guitar and chief songwriter has been playing music since 1976 when he learn his instrument in Tijuana, Baja Norte, Mexico..... This line up didn't relase any material and so Stuart told Mick he favoured an electric bass at that time and that's how Mick White replaced him. Then in 1984, the Guana Batz opted for a double bass player again, which was Sam Sardi.

In May 1987, Diddle decided to quit the band as he had decided by then that the hectic touring schedule was beyond him, and elected to dedicate his life to the pursuit of 'love and money' (his building job and his girlfriend). He was replaced by former Get Smart sticksman, Johnny Bowler, who now plays Slap Bass for the band, with John Buck on drums.

Diddle sadly died in the summer of 2001 from a stroke, he is sadly missed by all his friends and family.

Johnny Bowler now plays bass for the band, having started out as their drummer. The trio's line-up: Leslaw (vocals, guitar, music and words), Pablo (bass) and Teo (drums). Komety have created their own unique musical style. In October 2002, Przemyslaw Wojcieszek's film 'Louder than Bombs' appeared in cinemas featuring Komety playing themselves and performing several of their songs. In March 2003, Jimmy Jazz records released Komety's début album. Its premiere took place at the same time in Western Europe and the USA. After hundreds of concerts and appearances on numerous television music shows, the group began working on a new album which they started recording in spring 2005. In July 2005, the single 'Miasto turystów' ('Tourist City') appeared to promote the group's second record. In August 2005 the album 'Via Ardiente' appeared, as did singles containing the songs 'Bezsenne noce' ('Sleepless Nights', 'To samo miejsce' ('The Same Place') and Ostatenie lato XX wieku' ('The Last Summer of the 20th Century'.) 'Bezsenne noce' was voted the sixth best song of 2005 by listeners of Polish Radio 3's 'Program Alternatywny' show. In autumn 2005, Komety went on a concert tour of Poland which ended on 24th November 2005 with a live performance at the studios of Polish Radio 3. An English-language version of 'Via Ardiente' was released in February 2006. Two months later "Komety 2004-2006" featuring new and unpublished songs was released. Compilations containing Komety's songs have appeared in the USA, France, Finland, Germany, Japan and Russia. Komety are currently working on a new album which will be released in August 2007.
http://rapidshare.com/files/23878637/Komety.rar

King Kurt Big Cock

Long overdue re-issue of the band's second album in its original sleeve. It was at Reading University in October of that year. Previous to that Chuck had been fronting a few other bands that sort of fizzled out, notably What’s This Fish? and Mute. The fish band even got some local press where Chuck is pictured with some very square 80s looking chaps while he looks all psycho and wearing a huge pair of glasses, even off the wall in those days. The first proper line-up as far as Chuck can remember was ‘Ric’ on guitar, ‘Clive’ on bass and drummer Toby ‘Jug’ Griffin who went on to beat the skins for The Coffin Nails and later The Meteors
http://rapidshare.com/files/23857998/Frantic_Flintstones.rar

Demented Scumcats

Well, what makes Demented Scumrats more interesting or better than Demented are go, phheeww nothing , but a lot also. Power trio which play on the limit of speed, utilizing the bases and the instrumental simplicity of Rockabilly, like the simplified drum kit and the acoustic upright bass, coming together with a constantly distorted guitar. This formula results in an extremely fast and violent sound, where they spill insane screams that approach macabre teams, revealing the terror in all its faces.

The band was born in June 1996 in the south region of Brazil, more precisely in the city of Curitiba, where the Brazilian Psychobilly developed more. They have a Gothabilly look including black leather jackets, use fog machinesand lighting reminiscent of some local haunted house on Halloween. There is a definite stage presence that almost needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. That doesn’t mean that their first release “13 Halloweens” on SPOOKSHOW RECORDS isn’t worth buying. They are rather two unique experiences in themselves. The live show brings to light their cocky and almost megalomaniac attitude to what they do. Where in most cases this would be a turn-off, they appear to be some type of self-absorbed mad scientist on the verge of bringing some monstrous beast to life. The CD, although a recording of roughly the same songs, is more like the sound track to some horror movie whosescenes are wildly played out before you with every tune.Everything about these guys reeks of rock stardom and wish them the best of luck.
http://rapidshare.com/files/23428450/Calabrese.rar

Cenobites

Cenobites was founded January 1994 as a trio consisting of Alien guitar and singer, Horrible Hak double bass and Creepy Kiel drums. But like with all bands this line-up did not last very long. So bassplayer and guitarists came and went until P.G. Vogeli joined them in the summer of 95 and guitarplayers Jeff and Michell in 99. Because Alien did not just play guitar but also was the singer, they had to find a replacement on vocals as well. They found the right guy in Dimitri. With this line-up they built up their current reputation. Just before a tour in Germany (2002) Jeff and Michel were replaced with Wally. So it was four of a kind until Kiel also left the band after ten years. He had been replaced by Rudy Röss. With him they recorded the "Snakepit Vibrations album", which he helped producing. He stayed with the band for about a year and a half till he found out that our thing was not his thing.A new drummer has been found in Nik Reitsma.Because of their busy tourschedule they did not stay unnoticed by recordcompanies. The English Fury label released two compilation albums with Cenobites songs and Tombstone records released the first 10" simply called "Cenobites". Tocado records from Rotterdam released two compilation albums; one live and one studio comp. After these compilations they also released the "Girl in the woods" 7". The Belgian Drunkabilly label has released the first full-length called "Demons to some Angels to others". This album was released in June 2002 and was received very well. The album brought them a lot of shows in last 4 months of 2002, including a successful tour in Germany. In December 2003 they released a new three track single called "Secretum", also on Drunkabilly records. Fall 2005 they brought out a brandnew full length album called "Snakepit Vibrations".

http://rapidshare.com/files/23108061/Cenobites.rar

Chibuku Rock And Roll Is The Devils Music

Chibuku started out in 1992.

Psychobilly lyrics abot monsters, demons creatures of the night, sick situations and the mix between different kinds of music is what we call "Psychotic Power Rock´n´Roll"

First time they hit the stage was in 1994. The members come from different backgrounds, from different bands: Vertigo (ska), 2v1 (ska-punk), Drunken.. Boomerang (ska), Bad Tones (psychobilly) and Dreadrot (HC), but there..s one thing they all have in common and that..s their passion for Rock..n..Roll! Influenced by bands like The Misfits, Turbonegro, Mötorhead, Mad Sin, The Peacocks but also by Elvis Presley and many others they..ve created their own version of punk, rock..n..roll, hardrock and hard core. Flaming Cocks play Turbo Rock..n..Roll! Their music is a mixture of punk playfulness and hard-core attack. All is wrapped up in a rock..n..roll veil. Slapping bass, melodic singalongs, hard guitars and attacking percussions are rushing ahead like a steam locomotive. Crazy drive! Flaming Cocks were formed in 2002 and have already played over 150 of gigs and have appeared on big summer festivals in Czech Republic such as Rock For People, Trutnov Open Air or Mighty Sounds, touered Germany, Austria and Hungary. The band has played with many great independent bands such as The Misfits, The Adicts, Demented Are Go, The Peacocks, Peter Pan Speedrock, Maxeem, No Comply, Up To Vegas, Defience and others. Thier first album called Cockain was released in May 2006.
http://rapidshare.com/files/22766358/Flaming_Cocks.rar

Skitzo Mania

Skitzo was originally formed in 1985. Within a year, the band had released two singles Three Natural Sixes and Dance Hall Music and signed with the "Die Young Stay Pretty" label, a subsidiary of Sub Pop. The self-titled debut album was released in 1997.

In 1998, the band released Empty Bottles, Broken Hearts, its second full-length album. In the same year they recruited Leslie Hardy, a former member of Hole, before commencing a year long tour of North America. During that tour, they played with Built to Spill and At the Drive-In.

After a short break, the band released In Name and Blood, with photos in the liner notes notoriously depicting every member as a murder victim. The band released the Thelema EP in 2001 before breaking up later that year due to circumstances surrounding Hardy's departure from the band.[citation needed]

The band's final concert on Halloween was recorded and released by Sub Pop in 2003, titled "R.I.P." Notably, R.I.P. includes two previously unrecorded songs. It was also released on DVD in 2005.

In 2006 the band announced they were reuniting for a July show in Seattle with all original members. The band performed on July 29th at the Capitol Hill Block Party closing the two day music festival on Saturday night. The day following the Block Party performance the band played a secret unannounced show with The Blood Brothers at The Showbox in downtown Seattle, the same venue where "R.I.P." was recorded.

http://rapidshare.com/files/22640511/THE_MURDER_CITY_DEVILS.rar

Demented Are Go

Trying to determine just when and how Demented Are Go started is not an exact science as the band members themselves admit that their memories are not all that good, but we do know that by 1982 the band were up and running. Guitarist Dick Thomas (no relation to Ant) helped pull the whole thing together, having been in a lot of bands before Demented he knew how to get things moving. Demented Are Go had their first release on the 1984 Nervous records compilation Lp 'Hells Bent On Rockin' but it was not until about 18 months later that their album 'In Sickness And In Health' was released on ID Records. A few years on the band members could be found all living in the same squat in London with no electricity - this would have been around '87-88-ish. They started writing songs acoustically, by candle light. These songs surfaced - again on ID - as the album 'Kicked Out Of Hell'. Tours of Germany and mainland Europe followed and Demented found themselves playing at punk gigs as well psycho events. Spark started living at various big organized squats and existing on diet of drugs and alcohol.

http://rapidshare.com/files/22558040/Demented_Are_Go.rar

Calabrese Midnight Spookshow

Formed in 2003 the brothers CALABRESE have come a long way in four short years. "We are a very lucky band, our fans our amazing and I think selling our Souls is paying off because people just want to help the band progress." -Jimmy Calabrese. Fueled by the cult success of "13 HALLOWEENS", CALABRESE has recorded a follow up CD "THE TRAVELING VAMPIRE SHOW". The January 2007 release promises to deliver the horror with new 12 songs of ghoulish delight. "THE TRAVELING VAMPIRE SHOW" shows the development that CALABRESE has achieved. Only one listen will demonstrate the tighter performances, the more devolved songwriting and the more powerful mind controlling frequencies. Even though CALABRESE has been compared to the MISFITS, RAMONES and early AFI, "THE TRAVELING VAMPIRE SHOW" is distinctly CALABRESE. "Brothers Bobby, Jimmy and Davey have not only been gifted with a last name that doubles as a great band name...which, much like 13 HALLOWEENS, is destined for cult status."

http://rapidshare.com/files/22491545/Calabrese.rar

Banane Metalik

In 1989, the world of rocknroll gave birth to a psychotic monster : BANANE METALIK.

Very soon, the French bands bloodthirsty concerts followed one after another, firing up an increasingly large public. Their first recording was sold out in less than a month whilst the second one recorded in 1992 bloody confessions paved the way for international recognition.

Their performance on stage is a real feast for the eyes and the ears, coming across as an act in which their horrific culture feeds their enraged chords... After scouring Europe ferociously, BANANE METALIK recorded their first real album called Requiem de la Depravation. Just a few months after its release in 1994, the album had to be produced once more and was met with overwhelming success in Europe and abroad.

Ten years later, more ferocious than ever, they are back !!!

After a first recording made for a compilation put together to mark the ten years anniversary of the label Bananajuice, BANANE METALIK are keen to give a few performances in Europe and abroad in order to satisfy the demand of a vast audience.

These concerts give rise to real gore'n'roll shows, while the recognition and popularity of the band have been confirmed by this reunion.

This is why, BANANE METALIK have decided to record a new album designed to inject a good dose of hysteria within the music world which, they feel, is more often than not, sanitized or even formatted... The album, called "Sex, blood and gore'n'roll"already appears to be high on the wish list of a large fan base, mad about the uncompromising rocknroll of BANANE METALIK.

http://rapidshare.com/files/22465872/Banane_Metalik.rar

Batmobile

Batmobile was founded 1983. After several months of covering Elvis Presley, Johnny Burnette and Gene Vincent, Jeroen Haamers (vocals/guitar), Johnny Zuidhof (drums) and Eric Haamers (double bass) decided to start to write their own material and all of a sudden people started to call the mental Dutch threesome 'psychobillies'.

In 1985 the first Batmobile album was released, which led to international recognition. For the first time a non-british band headlined all international psychobilly festivals.

The second half of the eighties and the first half of the nineties the band is touring through Germany, France, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and England. The band is headlining numerous times in the legendary KlubFoot in London.

The releases of the band are consistent in the concept of sounding different every time. The band hates to cover itself so the Batmo gents are always in search of new sounds within the rockabilly/psychobilly spectrum. This leads to the very first (and ever so often copied) metal-sounds within the scene on their 1988 realease Bail's Set...... but ofcourse also to the back to basics release Amazons from Outer Space (1989) and the massive concept mini-album Batmobile is Dynamite (1990). If ever there's a band ahead of things within rockabilly/psychobilly it's Batmobile.
http://rapidshare.com/files/22461600/Batmobile.rar

Electric Frankenstin

Electric Frankenstein is the epitome of rock and roll, with a punk attitude that is rarely rivaled. 13 years, over 100 record releases, and more! EF has almost single-handedly returned rock to its most basic and savage roots, the way it was meant to be. They have been receiving international acclaim for their exciting brand of High Energy Punk Rock and Roll, done with the great intensity of such bands as the Stooges, MC5, Dead Boys, NY Dolls, Ramones, Damned, Black Flag, Misfits, AC/DC, Kiss, Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, Motorhead, and other favorites.

With their rock solid underground following firmly in tow, Electric Frankenstein has appealed to a broad spectrum of listeners. Incorporating punk rock, metal and especially good old fashioned Rock and Roll, EF has created a sound that is unparalleled and often looked upon in awe. These New Jersey stalwarts have had an unsurprisingly fearsome influence on modern music, paving the way for The Hives, The White Stripes, The D4, and other new Rock bands.
http://rapidshare.com/files/22157169/Electric_Frankenstin_Sick_Songs.rar

Evil Devil

Evil Devil's project took place in March 2001 when CremEvil try to put once again together his previous band called Bone Rest which included AmbrosEvil and PiccEvil too. They decided to replace the previous singer with Angel Face, (a very good friend of CremEvil that was since long time in the psycho scene) and change the band name into EVIL DEVIL. It follows a short period of practicing, and the guys decided to self produce a CD with the songs they wrote, just for fun. The band sent the CD to the German label Crazy Love Records, probably the most important in the psycho scene. Steve Whitehouse, the founder member of the group, had already found success with his previous two outifts, most notably ' The Sharks ', another 3 piece Rock-a-Billy band who had released an album and various other ditties since their formation in 1981. Indeed, Steve has been actively involved in music since 1980. Sighting musical differences, Steve left The Sharks to pursue his destiny with Frenzy.
http://www.frenzyworld.co.uk/images/steve2_jpg.jpg

Os Catalepticos Zombification

1.
Terrible Nightmares
2. blues band from the fifties - an upright bass, a horn section, piano player, guitarist, lead singer, and even a washboard player! Well known across the East Coast for their out of control live sets The Kings Of Nuthin' are a unique blend of psychobilly. Imagine the result of Bill Haley & The Comets or Little Richard and the Upsetters growing up in a punk rock environment, acquiring the drinking habits of Charles Bukowski, and hammering out their songs at twice the required speed. If you thoroughly look back on the story of MAD SIN it is surprising that the band still exists without having split-up, a collective suicide or at least regular internal fights. The daily booze was financed through gigs as street musicians in shopping-malls, where they played Rockabilly-, Country- and Blues-Songs to get the tourist's money.
http://rapidshare.com/files/21072734/Mad_Sin_Distorted_Dimensions.rar

The Meteors From Zorch With Love

The Meteors popularised the mad hybrid of early rockabilly and punk that fused to create Psychobilly. Rather, Zombie Ghost Train are a little more day-glo in their approach – adopting their crypt-decked personas (not quite as garish as Screamin’ Jay Hawkins) with less horror and more good-times in mind.
http://rapidshare.com/files/20761484/Zombie_Ghost_Train.rar

Nekromantix Life Is A Grave And I Dig It

Nekromantix are quite simply the premier psychobilly band in the world. Founded in 1989, over the course of six albums (three in the US), Nekromantix have inspired a generation of rockabilly and psychobilly bands, earned a Grammy nod, and spawned the immensely popular side project Horrorpops, who have scanned over 80,000 CDs in their own right. Now comes Life Is A Grave And I Dig It!!!, a return to the raw, driving sound of early classics like Return of the Loving Dead. I myself can't stand the Horrorpops. Its fucking fashion billy if you ask me.

http://rapidshare.com/files/22499766/Nekromantix.rar

Calabrese-13Halloweens

If your into Danzig or the Misfits, then Calabrese is the band for you! 13 Halloweens is an awesome album, the songs are well written and the production is top notch. Make no mistake, they are NOT in any way a punk band, but a serious Hard Rock Horror band with a great sense of musicianship. I just know there are big things ahead for them.
http://rapidshare.com/files/20580345/Calabrese.rar
